PEM throws anniversary party! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Robert Robertson
Please join PEM (Plant Engineering and Maintenance) magazine as we celebrate our 30th year of publishing in 2007. During the past 30 years, the magazine won numerous editorial awards, including the prestigious Jesse H. Neal Award. Next year, we’ll introduce exciting editorial offerings and a new graphic design look to better meet reader needs. Yes, it will be a special year to remember for PEM and its loyal readership.
Our mandate is to provide must-read editorial, while contributing and giving back to the industry. For example, we recognize maintenance excellence with the PEM Maintenance Awards. This year’s winners were Canadian Tire and the City of Mississauga. PEM was also the official media sponsor for MainTrain 2006, and we work closely with the Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) and Bearing Specialists Association (BSA). We plan to have a full year of celebrations, so join PEM’s 30th anniversary party. The PEM June 2007 issue will be our official 30th anniversary issue, and we want readers to be a part of it. Do you have any old photos (of you or your maintenance team at work) from the past 30 years that you can send us? More photos the better.

Also, take a minute to tell us how your job has changed and/or how your maintenance team has evolved to where it is today. Ten winners will be randomly selected (whether you submit photos or story) to receive cool maintenance textbooks for your library. These are great books. All photos will be promptly returned and in safe condition. To tell your story, all you have to do is email us a couple of paragraphs.

Write your story in a personal style and have fun looking back on the past 30 years. The best photos and emails will be published in the PEM June 2007 issue. Let’s hear from you today.

Wishing you health and happiness in 2007!
