Schneider Electric's StruxureWare to help companies simplify, optimize energy management

PEM is live at Schneider Electric's Editors' Event:

Schneider Electric has introduced its StruxureWare supervision and optimization software, an integrated software platform designed to simplify energy management and optimize process operation in buildings, data centers and industrial facilities. StruxureWare is the software component of the company’s comprehensive EcoStruxure energy management architecture portfolio. From a single point of access, it provides intelligent monitoring, automation, planning and reporting on critical facility management systems from across the organization.

“StruxureWare helps organizations gain control of their energy costs and consumption by making it visible and providing context on its use — providing CEOs and facility managers enterprise-wide energy information at their fingertips to help make informed decisions on how to best reduce their energy usage and maximize cost savings,” said Philippe Delorme, executive vice-president of strategy and innovation with Schneider Electric. “For the first time, companies now have a simple integration, consistent user experience and scalable platform across all areas of their organization.”

StruxureWare is designed to simplify integration time, improve reliability, enhance visibility to energy information and optimize operational efficiency, providing a fully integrated system designed to best fit the needs of building, data center, and industrial customers. As the software platform of EcoStruxure, it connects five domains of business expertise – power, data centers, process and machines, building control, and physical security – within an open and flexible technology architecture, delivering up to 30-percent savings in capital and operational expenditures, including energy.

The first software suite, StruxureWare for Data Centers, was introduced in June 2011, a management software suite designed to simplify the installation and deployment of power and cooling and provide visibility to all domains that effect the data center environment.

Other StruxureWare suite offerings will be introduced over the next 12 months: StruxureWare for Buildings, StruxureWare for Industry and StruxureWare for Grid. Each of these suites contains specific applications to help companies manage and monitor their sustainability initiatives, optimize their current operations and better manage their sites and processes.
