PEMAC (Plant Engineering and Maintenance Association of Canada) is a national, not for profit association providing global leadership, education and certification in world class maintenance, reliability and asset management practices. Founded in 1990, PEMAC members come from all industry sectors and include both public (government) and private businesses.

Services provided to our members include workforce and professional development – our MMP (Maintenance Management Professional) education and certification program is delivered through the Continuing Education and Contract Training departments at selected colleges, institutes and universities using in-class, on-site and live, on-line formats in both official languages. Our MainTrain regional and national events are now in its 9th year and 13th edition and are Canada’s premier event for the practitioners and professionals in physical asset management.

Responsibilities:
As the Executive Director you will have overall responsibility for managing the day to day operations and associated functions of the organization, in accordance with the corporate bylaws, policies and procedures and government regulations.

Reporting to the President and the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will provide effective leadership, planning and management of the organization’s strategic and operational plans, and in the achievement of the Board of Director objectives, policies and programs.

The Executive Director in carrying out this role will also provide long term vision and development for the Association, provide ongoing continuous improvement opportunities to both the President and Board of Directors, promote strategic development and improvement of services for our members and to advise the Board of Directors, in collaboration with senior managers, on the operations and affairs of the organization, and provide policy recommendations on all aspects of operations and directing its implementation.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and extensive management experience. Strong leadership, organizational skills,communication skills and team dynamics. Experience in the maintenance, reliability and physical asset management profession is desirable.
